Yet another day and yet another news post from us.
This post will mainly target those that use eggdrop bots. Others at the moment might be slightly disappointed, thou as far as i know even those that use X-Chat can import .tcl scripts and gain something.
Script as it’s already been said it was written in TCL (Tool Command Language). It’s not much then just a page scrapper using http package.
Those that are interested in source can grab it from our Download Page that’s nested in menu on the right side.
Few more words about script…
So far script is capable in showing just cocaine prices for all versions of Omerta (localized ones even new upcoming project known as v3 beta).
Example of usage.
My next goal is to expand script to be fully working price scrapper. |

As you can see Dopedog did tremendous job on making OmertaBeyond one step closer to v3.
Beta 2 works on beta/com/nl/dm ... if you see any bugs please contact us via irc or via contacts page.
I’d also like to thank sbanks on getting back to irc where his ass belongs :P
All in all ... beta 2 is ready for use ... get it while it's "fresh" from download page. |

Hey all,
As most of you will be well aware off Omerta has started public beta testing of v3 for a limited number of people.
Some of the Beyond crew were lucky enough to be invited in that group after the the admins decided we could use a head start on preparing. We certainly appreciate this and are very thankful (and so should you Beyond users!)
Now here's the best part. For all you other Beta players we also have a Beta version of Omerta Beyond. If you're interested in this you call in @ #beyond
(You might even encounter some new features coming up in 1.9.1!)
We'll be releasing newer Beta's for v3 as I find time to code them.
Stay up to date in #beyond or keep an eye on which Beta version you're using.
Currently Beta_1 is ready for use.

I had to temporarily disable bugs and requests section due to massive spamming about rapes and links about it.
Until we add captcha to site or do something else every bug you want to report or to add new request please do via irc.
Even thou we might be inactive at irc ( no one responds ) please, just highlight someone from ops+ and write what you want, we'll read everything as soon as we see it.
Enjoy this beautiful day ( in most of the Europe ) and take a break a bit from a game :P

As the title says, thank you very much asshole is addressed to that lovely person that got our feed blocked on IRC ( feed that we used to announce latest news from Fingon's news site )
LOL
Anyway, I'd like to thank to another douche bag or several of 'em that are constantly spamming us with lovely messages that our script is crap and sleepy script is wonderful and it's supported by admins.
Thank you message also goes to those folks that added our site to spam bots database ( everyday we get around 40-50 emails that are totally unrelated to world of Omerta and related to all kinds of idiotism. )
We also have spammers at our pages that are adding all random crap to our bugs and testimony pages. Also we have those folks that are hammering our feed page ( moved and renamed today btw. ) and generating us a bit big bandwidth, yet we didn't blocked his IP. Another lovely dude is trying to exploit our bot ( BeyondBot which is running all necessary patches for the latest eggdrop ).
All in all ... we have plenty of bw nor we tend to leave the Omerta scene even thou some of you might want that.

Easter holidays are over and hopefully our laziness will be over too :P
As you already know (from previous post) some of OmertaBeyond Team members were having a break from Omerta and web 'life' in general. Some of us had great time, others were busy with jobs and stuff IRL thou we still had time to check from time to time with Omerta Game officials about status of OB and future cooperation ^^.
Even thou OB is in less favored state then other Omerta greasemonkey scripts we still managed to be at the top thanks to our user base that is close to 1500 members throughout the whole game ( wherever the OB is supported ).
Our next goal is to improve stability and speed of our script so end users can enjoy more without having to experience troubles when buying bullets or going to Obay, where time is indeed crucial. Along with improving we'll try to bring you new stuff as we always did, some features might be removed totally and some might be changed to default state ( always enabled ). Anyway, everything we'll do we'll announce at our page and before going to final state our Beta Team will try to determine and do valuations of our work.
Next important thing is to improve our stats page . Please tell us what you think about it and if you have any ideas how to improve it notify us.
P.S.
My English might be and prolly is a bit off, so i apologize for it.

Yet another month has passed by and another sets of beta versions were tested.
As you already know Eagle has left us and Mqraiden is missing in action so that leaves Dopedog and myself in charge of future development of OmertaBeyond. Being that i prepare myself for some major changes in my life i won't be able to actively participate in development for next 2 months, thou i think I'll still be around on irc.
At the moment we are in beta stage of our stats site , same goes for our 'live' feed of deaths, family up/down announcer. ( check it out at #beyond.info )

As you could probably notice we added RSS feed to our page for latest news.
This way we want to inform you on things that we're doing to improve in script itself and generally on our page.
We added Graphs for .dm and .com ... soon we hope to have fully working stats for .nl too.
Thou there might be some gap ( being that we went offline for couple of hours due to hardware malfunction on our server ) stats are pretty accurate. Feel free to inform all your friends about our page/script.
Sad news would be that our friend and colleague developer Eagle decided to split the crew due to inner problems with some of members.
We wish you all the luck on your future project Eagle. Thank you for all your hard work and all things you made for OB.

Most people posted they wanted NL or COM support, well.. those versions are already supported and we keep supporting them ofcourse. By Superlottery: the autovoter which pops up when you are going to the page where you can vote for the omerta super lottery gets bugged if you play more than one version. Like i play .no and .com, and when i have used the autovoter at .no i cant vote at .com before 24 hours.

By Thalien: in the rolie can we have a window to place the same bet in one or 2 numbers or more all the time?! like i want to bet $1000 in numbers 29 and 36, i fill the forms with $1000 and want to bet always that amount in numbers 29 and 36, the beyond program could fill those filds for me, i just click in play!

By Dogan: I play the game on barafranca.gen.tr and some of the properties do not work with this one. (Autoform with nick a car, direct go the shooting range by clicking on the killing skill bar, go to the jail page after getting out, and some more...) Maybe someone should take special care with .gen.tr. :D I would like to learn how to script "beyond omerta" so that I can help you..

By Jail: When I get jailed after atempting to bust someone out it doenst always take me back to the jail page. sometimes it just refreshes and sometimes it says "Your not in jail"

By Car section .norwegian: There is a bugg i guess at the norwegian version the car section. it doesnt go to the highest percentage even when i told the preferences it should do it doesnt.. Greets justice

Omerta Beyond has it's own loggerbot and has some beta features on the site at the moment, check the right side menu where you can find info about players history, new families and more. Also are these statistics reachable via mirc in #beyond - !lasthigh / !newfams / !deadfams / !history

As you might noticed him on our credits page, it's time to officially introduce him as newest developer at OB team.
His name is mqraiden and he'll be doing what all of us does, improve Omerta's gameplay via OB. ^^

Our prevorious poll we asked you:
Do you like to define to block certain sites who host images, like: imageshack, photobucket and such.
More then 70 % voted for NO, so we decided not to implement this feature in Omerta Beyond.
Bug Update #2:
- .com beyond has a link to the daily famstats on fingon. .nl doesn't has the daily famstats but there is something else on a site comparable with fingon wich has also the amount of every rank of every family. Maybe it is an idea to put this on the daily famstats page in beyond on the .nl version. The stats can be found here: http://www.edo-nieuws.nl/highranks.php
